From the Vicar
"My Lord and my God" (Jn. 20:28)
Dear Parishioners,
The above verse is the faith affirmation of Thomas, the Apostle. July
03rd is observed as St.Thomas Day. We believe that our church is founded
by Saint Thomas, and is known by the name of this Apostle. St.Thomas
affirmed Jesus as his Lord and Savior. This reveals his intimate, personal
relationship with Jesus and complete surrender to His will. We as followers
of St.Thomas's tradition should have the same feeling and dedication
to Jesus just like the Apostle.
The summer is at hand and it is the time of our many activities. Let's
hope and pray that in and through everything we know each other better
and grow in Christian understanding. It is a time of celebration of
life along with nature. The green less winter gives way to the greeny
and bright summer. Those who always put their trust in the Lord are
'like a tree planted by streams of water whose leaf does not wither'
(Ps.1: 3). The Sun is the source of life for all the plants and trees.
God gives His only Son for our abundant life so that we can have in
all seasons, better or bitter.
It is also a season of camps and conferences. We have the Junior/Senior
Conference, VBS, the Family Conference, Church Retreat, etc,. These
are God given opportunities to grow as a community and to grow in Christ.
Make us of it.
I appreciate all those who have their graduation these days. God is
the source of wisdom and truth. So honoring God with all our being is
very important.
May God bless us all.
Yours in His Service,
Binu achen
