A weekly devotional for our parish family — a verse to carry, a question to sit with, and a prayer to pray.
This Week’s Devotional
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 8:12Jesus speaks these words not as a distant philosopher but as the living presence who meets us in our own darkness — our anxieties, our failures, our fears about the future. To follow him is not to earn light, but to receive it. And what we receive, we carry into the corners of the world that need it most.
Where have you experienced darkness this week? Where have you seen His light break through, even faintly? Name both before God.
Lord Jesus, Light of the World, illumine the hidden places of my heart today. Give me grace to walk in your light, and courage to shine for others. Amen.
